EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique

Emotional Freedom TechniqueEFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a profound and powerful self-help technique. It is an emotional version of acupuncture except needles aren’t necessary. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping on them with your fingertips. Core emotional issues as well as physical and psychological difficulties often clear quickly and easily. The process is easy to memorize and is portable so you can do it anywhere.EFT is an amazing and powerful therapy to use on its own but I often use EFT in conjunction with other therapies such as massage. An example of this:

A client came to see me with deep muscle tension in her neck. The pain was so intense she felt sick and was unsure how she was actually going to lay on the couch. We approach the therapy with a few rounds of tapping to help relax my client. On doing this the nausea lifted and she became more relaxed. We could have continued with the EFT but my client felt she would prefer a massage. The massage was completed, using breath work and another round of tapping (which I did on her behalf, for a particularly tight nodule of tension) and she felt no pain or discomfort during the massage. In fact, she commented how relaxed she felt after the therapy was completed.

EFT can be used on a myriad of issues whether they are emotional, psychological or physical. No issue is too small or too complicated and once the technique has been learned you have the power to transform your life at the touch of YOUR fingertips. I know, because it has helped transform mine.
